Our desire is to run an honest bee operation. We care about the plight of the modern-day honeybee, and we seek to help preserve beekeeping with our passion and honest practices.
Our operation
Local
Orland Honey Farm is located about 10 miles north of Montrose, South Dakota.
You can buy our honey wholesale or find it at local grocers, convenient stores, and retailers such as Lewis Drug and Pomegranate Market.
Natural
No additives. No preservatives. Just 100% pure, natural, fresh-from-the-farm honey.
Our bees gather their nectar from local clover and wildflower fields, giving our honey a unique, delicious flavor.
Honest
For our farm, and for our larger Hutterite family, everything comes down to honesty.
Since our start in 2003, Orland Honey Farm has grown to around 200 colonies. But no matter how many beestings we get, we stay true to our roots.
To us, the word “colony” means more than a family unit of bees. It also means a family unit of people. In the Orland Hutterite Colony, we work together (and work hard) toward a common goal — just like the little bees we love and care for.
